And the first thing that comes to my head: Spinning class with Christine... Why would I think of that? Well, great workout and she's a very good spinning teacher. (And the fact that she is really attractive) Anyways, I plan to write one like that as often as I can about things I would like to do again in Columbus before I leave. EXPERIMENT My experiment has now been completed. One month has gone since the beginning of my research. Now that I have this gathered data, I can start working conclusions out and soon I'll be able to reveal what these conclusions are.|W|P|112192984344728636|W|P|Cold feet... Dubner - William Morrow, 2005 After I finished Freakonomics, I have to admit I got hooked on the book's weblog, where the authors, Dubner and Levitt contribute to some great posts. Recently I read a couple of good ones, one where Levitt almost passes as a terrorist and gets sent to Cuba and another one, totally unrelated to the first one, that points to a website showing research on Live Journal's mood indicators. By the way, does blogger have anything similar? In the meantime, I recommend checking the website out. And if you haven't read the book yet, I must recommend it... |W|P|112146331889680905|W|P|Freakonomics: LiveJournal mood indicators, airport screenings|W|P|7/13/2005 02:57:00 PM|W|P|BRAFury|W|P|Brazilian bandits pull off big boob job - MSNBC.com
This is Brazil, the land of Carnaval, soccer, beautiful women and host to some bizarre crime events. For example, this one: 400 dollar silicon implants taken away by bandits in one of Rio's highway. Highway crimes are very common in Brazil. Truck drivers must always be ready to deal with unexpected events (such as bricks on the highway's pavement or someone asking for help) since they might be an ambush for having his merchandise taken away. There has been also cases in the past where a large group of individuals vikingly storm and raid toll booths but never in my life I've heard of people wanting to steal breast implants. Experts believe that the silicon implants will be sold to illegal surgeons across the country. My question really remains about the reasons why such a particular cargo had to be the target of such brutality. Were they really after breast implants or did they simply stumble upon it? Either way, in midst of a very serious political turbulence while famous designers land in jail for tax evasion, Brazil does not truly show the order and progress printed in our canary yellow and green flag.
